As a Senior Desktop Engineer, you will support the stand-up of Mac as a Service, enabling developers, new hires, and the Mac community to reach feature parity with the Windows endpoint environment desktop engineer supporting our Mac end users. As a senior member on the Tier 3 team, you will play a key role in providing support for JAMF, Mac Imaging, and Mac Endpoint/Desktop Security for up to 1,000 Endpoints. **This is a hybrid role based in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Hyrbid is defined as in-office Tues-Wed-Thurs. This position cannot be based remote and would require relocation for candidates currently living outside of PA**

In this role you will:
- Provide technical leadership for Mac engineering and support
- Lead as the primary customer support organization POC for technical and service escalations
- Ensure security of the Vanguard environment through implementation of and adherence to best practices for Mac client and infrastructure security.
- Provide expert level Tier 3 technical infrastructure support services for issues elevated from other support and technical service organizations
- Plan and implement new technologies and major releases for the Mac environment including but not limited to: JAMF Infrastructure, macOS, and other enterprise Mac applications.
- Provide capacity management and forecasting for the infrastructure, and Lifecycle road mapping for all relevant technologies and products.
- Use ITIL best practices for Incident and Problem management and resolution.
- Train and Mentor staff and technical support organization individuals.
What it takes:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- 5 or more years of experience diagnosing and solving problems in a Mac environment; 8 or more years of general endpoint experience
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Specializations that'll have an impact:
- Expert knowledge of the macOS
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of JAMF Pro
- Intermediate knowledge of bash scripting or other programming languages used for automation
- Experiencing in developing and/or supporting Mac imaging processes
- Experience leading and mentoring staff, technical support organizations
- Infrastructure Architecture experience
- Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory to facilitate Mac and Active Directory integration
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple problems simultaneously
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language, and familiar with macOS specific command-line tools.
- Production/Enterprise experience with Mac Security
