The Role:Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Senior Legal Counsel plays a significant role supporting The True NaaS Platform's legal and business operations. The Senior Legal Counsel will be instrumental in the Company's success and substantial growth by providing advice and support to all aspects of the business. As Senior Legal Counsel, you must be a self starter, comfortable in a dynamic, ever-changing environment, and have a passion for exploration and problem solving.
While this role is a mid-level position reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, there is significant potential for advancement.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including but not limited to, vendor agreements, MSAs, legal notices, amendments, addenda, and employment contracts.
- Collaborate with all functions of the business, with emphasis on the sales organization and ensuring that sales contracts are closed with speed and efficiency.
- Manage outside counsel and assist to resolve disputes.
- Resolve disputes, by engaging in active listening, working internally with the applicable teams/groups to find the facts and understand the problems. Then develop and employ a strategy to advocate on behalf of The True NaaS Platform.
- Provide general legal advice and support to multiple departments, including HR, finance, project success, global services, procurement, and others on an as needed basis.
- Manage the Company's IP portfolio.
- Work with external regulators/ authorities to ensure the Company's compliance with its legal obligations on a global basis.
- Inputting and extracting contracts from the Company's legal database.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- 7+ years of in-house legal experience negotiating commercial contracts and managing litigation.
- Telecom industry experience and a working knowledge of global privacy/ data protection laws is a plus.
- JD required and an active bar license for at least one US State.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn internal software and technology quickly.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with other business units despite competing priorities and interests.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally (written and oral).
- Ability to self-start and operate autonomously.
- Ability to analyze issues and recommend practical solutions that balance legal and business needs and risks.
