Senior Lead Controls Engineer

Position Overview

Navistar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lead Controls Engineer to join our Controls Engineering team at the San Antonio manufacturing plant.

 

The Senior Lead Controls Engineer is a technical expert in plant floor control systems and is responsible for overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of control systems for manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and order control system equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective
• Design, develop and maintain control systems for industrial machinery and processes
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and documentation
• Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime
• Supports in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
• Provide technical assistance to other cross functional areas

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience
• At least 1 year of lead experience 

OR

• Master's degree
• At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience
• At least 1 year of lead experience 

OR

• At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience
• At least 1 year of lead experience 

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
