Job Summary:
The Senior Human Resources Representative (SHRR) works with prospective, current, and former employees of the organization. In this role, he/she will support the employee base with HR-related queries and educate the internal staff about company policies and benefits program administration. He/she will assist with the hiring, administration, and training, and support the organization to adhere to local, state, and federal employment regulations. The SHHR will maintain employee records. The Senior Human Resources Representative will be responsible for all administrative processes, such as recording employee data, creating Human Resources reports, and monitoring employee benefits. Other responsibilities include supporting the annual benefits open enrollment process, identifying Human Resources issues, and supporting the company to remain compliant with applicable laws. The position must have strong technical and analytical skills.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
• Creating and maintaining accurate employee records and gathering all related documentation and key details.
• Demonstrating, maintaining and communicating the HR department's policies and programs.
• Answering employees' questions regarding their benefits and assisting with the administration of their benefits.
• Posting job openings.
• Assisting with audits, compliance reviews, and other mandatory reports.
• Assist with internal and external HR-related matters.
• Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
• Recommend strategies to motivate employees.
• Assist in the investigation of complaints brought forward by employees.
• Utilize the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.
• Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
• Collecting data on management and employee surveys, employment records, and exit interviews.
• Support relevant HR metrics in order to determine the efficiency and impact of the workforce.
• Optimizing and implementing new data processes and systems.
• Compiling reports of data results and presenting these to senior managers.
• Recommending policies that will improve the culture within the company and suggest ways in which to hire the best candidates for the job.
• Enforcing human resource department policies, procedures, and structures.
• Reporting for health and life insurance programs.
• Ensuring all employee records are maintained and updated with new hire information or changes in employment status.
• Responding to employees’ queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
• Reconciling billings and invoices.
• Successfully supporting remote workforce and field based Human Resources Representatives.
• All other duties as assigned.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
• None, but leadership qualities are a must.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
• Demonstrated career progression.
• Good working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
• Desire to advance.
• Leadership qualities.
• Advanced level reporting from Excel and HRIS data base
• Ability to create powerful presentations both orally and via PowerPoint
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR.
• Previous leadership experience a plus.
