Job Purpose
The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with the HR Manager and Sr. HR Generalist assisting in aligning business objectives with employees and management personnel across all company branches in the (West or East). Significantly, the HR Generalist will coordinate various human resources activities including employment, compensation, benefits, labor relations, training, and employee services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions using the current HRIS system
- Provide answers to first level questions related to HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations. Escalate issues or concerns to Sr. HR Generalist and HR Manager as required
- Champion and address employee relations issues such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities
- Assist in developing and implementing necessary management and training, such as sexual harassment, discrimination, safety, and more
- Help establish and implement personnel policies and procedures
- Provide assistance with onboarding employees and processing new hire paperwork
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Perform other tasks as needed
Qualifications and Experience

- 2+ years working in a HR Representative or HR Generalist function
- Excellent communication skills to relay information to supervisors and employees
- Knowledge of labor laws and human resources best practices
- Previous experience managing a multi-state human resources function
- Familiar with HRIS systems, with experience in ADP Workforce Now and/or Ceridian Dayforce a strong plus
- Must exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records and reports
- Ability to prepare accurate, effective, complete, and easily understood reports and other forms of written communication
- Highly organized with strong quantitative abilities and superior attention to detail
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, organize, and prioritize multiple duties
- Experience with all products in the Microsoft Office Suite
