The Sr. HR Business Consultant is responsible for performing advanced, specialized and strategic duties within the human resource organization. This position performs professional work of considerable difficulty overseeing a range of administrative functions related to human resource management, employee development and staff support. This position may work directly with field staff, drive tangible positive changes on Southwest Key’s workforce as well as be exposed to high impact business decision-making and its strategic vision.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position may plan, assign or supervise the work of others. This position may also function as a strategic support to the human resource executive lead.
- Advises management on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities.
- Plans, directs and administers various human resource programs.
- Researches, analyzes data and prepares quarterly reports on HR trends, new HR project suggestions and current program goals and progress.
- Acts as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues relating to all organizational functions.
- Develops, revises and implements HR policies and procedures.
- Prepares and maintains special internal and external reports as requested human resource executive leadership.
- Answers nonroutine requests for information on human resource policy interpretation.
- Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow in the organization.
- Develops methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects.
- Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies and procedures.
- Provides advice and counsel to department heads, managers and staff on human resource related matters.
- Works on special projects.
- Leads special and cross-functional project teams.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Act as an ambassador of the organization and Executive Management Team regarding internal operations, programs, and policies.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
- Six years of professional-level experience in human resources.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Master’s degree.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
General office environment with moderate noise. This position may involve standing while facilitating training or walking distances throughout program sites. Work location(s) may vary any may include a busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel and ability to interact frequently with others.
