Summary of Position:

This position provides human resources consultation and performs a wide range of human resource-related duties using sound HR knowledge and expertise in support of the business. The role executes HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives. The position utilizes knowledge of various human resources functions to provide tactical support to line managers while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism; Through influence and coaching, the role is proactive in managing risks and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The role interfaces with all levels of internal and external stakeholders and approaches deliverables with a customer focus.


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and resolves people-related issues and concerns using sound judgment and broad knowledge of employment law and human resources principles and practices. Responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in all responsibilities.
  • Identifies areas for improvement within the HR function, creates and proposes solutions and implements approved processes and policies.
  • Proactively engage with managers and employees to guide actions that mitigate risk and increase engagement.
  • Coach employees and leadership through complex situations related to performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Assists with creating and executing recruiting and onboarding strategies and processes.
  • Administers the offboarding process, including performing exit interviews.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, delivery, and tracking of training.
  • Serve as sounding board to all employees and managers throughout the employment lifecycle. Takes appropriate action with data and feedback.
  • Participate in leading the performance management process.
  • Help with HR policy development and implementation.
  • Support HR-related projects and annual processes.
  • Provide back-up support for other HR functional areas.

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR preferred.
  • 8 years’ experience in Human Resources required.
  • Experience with an HR Information System preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.


Office & Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to travel to field office(s) on a regular cadence and as needed up to 4 times per month.
  • Work is performed at a CIVI location Tues-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
  • Must have and maintain a driving record that meets company standards.
