This is a remote position in the US.

Spiro is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer to join our in-house Marketing teamto  support the integrated marketing efforts of Corporate Communications, Branding, Marketing, and Sales. Our ideal candidate has sharpened their creative skills by designing in a corporate environment and can crank out on-brand social content. This position requires the ability to solve visual marketing challenges through fresh creative ideas that support the style and voice of our Spiro brand. This person is at the heart of the Spiro brand and visual marketing execution, partnering with our marketing team, CMO and reporting to the Sr Creative Director to ensure visual communications clearly reflect internal business strategies and external positioning. 

 

Responsibilities include designing thumb-stopping social media campaigns, marketing and sales collateral, presentations, advertisements, direct mail pieces, web banners, logos, icons, internal templates, signage, event graphics and promotions. This designer must have the ability to leverage a graphic concept across multiple media, both traditional, digital and social. They also ensure brand consistency throughout everything they touch, while identifying new ways to keep the brand feeling fresh.

 

This talented, professional creative pro is up-to-date on the latest design trends and commands a solid foundation of design best practices. The candidate should learn quickly and be extremely proficient in designing social content and using industry standard software, including Adobe CC, Microsoft Office 365, as well as be able to implement AI into the concept process effectively. This position reports to the Sr Creative Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Integrate graphic concepts and campaigns across multiple types of media.
  • Develop and implement the visual execution of the GES brand including logos, facility and vehicle branding, show site signage, advertising campaigns, marketing and sales collateral, presentations, online graphics and websites, uniforms, and promotional items.
  • Transform ideas and concepts into creative, effective visual solutions for print and digital media
  • Serve as the primary contact for brand standards review, providing guidance to organization at large on graphic standards. Enforce and advocate brand consistency across all marketing materials, for our internal and public audiences.
  • Direct creative execution with internal teams, freelancers and temporary staff or interns, and enforce superior quality. Collaborate with external agencies on creative concepts.
  • Collaborate with the CMO, Spiro Marketing teams, Spiro Creative Traffic Operations and the Sr Creative Director to manage design requests and timelines
  • Collaborate with Sr Creative Director and international counterparts to synchronize global design and brand initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sr Creative Director and internal teams on graphics for websites and landing pages and with social media team on graphics for use in social media.
  • Effectively manage projects and workflow. Work directly with internal clients and designers to ensure content quality, accuracy, timeliness, adherence to brand standards, and vendor specifications.
  • Demonstrate a proven understanding of layout, typography and color theory. 
  • Maintain and develop competency and awareness in the latest design trends and production techniques.
  • Maintain knowledge of graphic design and video production best practices.
Qualifications:

  • Enthusiastic, energetic attitude.
  • Ability to consolidate creative direction from multiple, and at times disparate, sources
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Expert skills using InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop CC, and Acrobat Pro
  • Experience creating engaging, animated web banners
  • Proficient laying out well-designed and easy-to-use PowerPoint presentations and Word document templates
  • Superior knowledge of typography and design best practices
  • Superb attention to detail, strong eye for color and symmetry.
  • Ability to effectively enforce and contribute to our corporate brand
  • Ability to quickly improvise designs with varying amounts of existing assets
  • Basic knowledge of the printing process; able to prepare press-ready files based on supplied publication specs
  • Understanding of digital and social design, and their relationship to printed media
  • Able to manage concurrent projects and meet aggressive deadlines while working independently
  • Expert photo manipulation skills and ability to optimize images
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent education/experience
  • 8+ years agency design experience
  • Portfolio required at time of application

Preferred, Non-required Skills:

  • Professional photography and/or videography skills
  • Able to write short bits of engaging copy for ads and marketing materials
  • Experience designing with consideration to the technical limitations of custom HTML emails
Work Environment:
  • Serve on a team of passionate professionals who enjoy what they do!
  • Work is performed in an office setting.
  • Work may involve repetitive motion (i.e. computer use).
  • Some travel required.
