Corporate Relations Officer

OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for managing the Bank’s corporate public relations profile, community relations, media relations and shareholder relations.

KEY REPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages and coordinates community relations initiatives for the Bank and acts as the Bank’s primary liaison with community organizations;
• Coordinates and administers community support requests;
• Oversees the Bank’s community volunteer support program, including tracking staff volunteer efforts and maximizing related public relations activities;
• Provides internal communications support in the form of planning, writing, and /or implementation for organization-wide initiatives and selected departmental projects and programs;
• Produces an employee newsletter focused on the Bank’s community relations and community giving initiatives;
• Participates in the planning, development and implementation of content for the Bank’s websites and social media channels;
• Writes and distributes press releases relating to new staff and staff promotions, as well as general press releases and educational articles to support the Bank’s business and community activities, with follow-up monitoring to ensure adequate coverage of press release submissions;
• Writes and distributes ACNB Corporation press releases and coordinates the applicable regulatory filings;
• Produces communications to shareholders, including managing the design and production of the ACNB Corporation Annual Review and the ACNB Corporation content on the Bank’s website; and,
• Manages and coordinates other community and banking programs and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field of study;
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in corporate/internal communications, public relations, marketing, media relations, community relations and/or shareholder relations required;
• Exceptional communications skills, written and verbal, with the ability to synthesize a message that is impactful and tailored to intended audience;
• Adept at telling the company's story in a way that captivates and engages internal and external audiences while ensuring a consistent brand voice to increase brand awareness and visibility;
• Demonstrated knowledge of change management principles;
• Ability to build relationships with all levels of the organization and community to collaborate on initiatives and influence positive outcomes;
• Motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality; and,
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook..

Preferred:

• Specialized public relations or marketing education and training.
