As a Senior GL Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities- Prepare and manage general ledger entries related to various general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to Prepaids, Accruals, Fixed Assets, etc. at period end
to ensure balances are fully supported. - Prepares payroll and related documents; reviews for accuracy, completeness and compliance
with payroll procedures; reviews and adjusts attendance and timesheet records; calculates or
checks gross pay, overtime and other supplemental pay and pay adjustments. - Support the month end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and account
reconciliations for various cycles, etc. - Support quarterly external audits and internal audits.
- Special projects and other ad hoc assignments as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and/or the equivalent in experience.
- Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth company, where team resources are limited,
and processes and systems are not yet fully established. - Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in use of spreadsheets (Google Sheets and/or Excel).
- Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks
simultaneously.
- Familiarity with NetSuite
