Ardurra is seeking a motivated, full-time Senior Funding Specialist to join our rapidly growing Northwest team.

***Candidate can work from any of our offices in Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, or Utah offices.***

Position Summary

Applicants must have experience with the development of infrastructure grants, bonds, or loans, as originated through States and various agencies of the Federal government. Applicant must have experience with leading the preparation of applications and support documentation for these opportunities, as sought for municipal facilities including, but not limited to, transportation infrastructure, water and sewer systems and plans, airports, environmental remediation, and community planning.  

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who is resourceful, and solution oriented. The position requires a positive attitude, creative thinking, and the adaptability to shift workloads as project timelines are often short and may require a quick turnaround. A successful candidate will excel in collaborating with diverse teams of individuals ranging from rural to sophisticated, including clients, funding agencies, other consultants, and staff members. Applicants should have experience working within organizational systems to meet deadlines, manage teams, and manage project details including schedules and budgets. Applicant should be able to keep pace with the funding landscape, working to find evolving opportunities for Ardurra’s municipal, airport, and infrastructure clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Professional grant training, grant experience, and/or similar experience
  • Familiarity with online grant submission portals and platforms.
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, and research skills
  • Proficient in research, organization, setting and meeting deadlines, project team management, client management, and grant project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Asana
  • Previous management, leadership, or business-ownership experience a plus
  • Must be able to work independently and be coachable.
  • Desire for continued learning, improvement, training, and certifications; opportunities for presenting and public speaking as an expert in field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand local, regional, state and federal grant programs and cycles to help clients (public agencies) apply for grant funding for various project types.
  • Administrative duties such as develop cost estimates, project schedules, and scopes of work for grant projects
  • Collaboration with internal discipline leads (environmental, transportation, civil) to ensure grant proposals accurately represent information.
  • Researching, writing, and editing grant proposals
  • Developing funding strategies for projects and presenting them to clients
  • Professional communication and collaboration skills utilizing email, phone, virtual meetings, and in-person meetings
  • Project organization, tracking, and management of multiple projects simultaneously in collaboration with a team and individually
  • Provide unprompted regular communication and project updates to supervisor
  • Occasional travel for client meetings, client interviews, conferences, etc.
  • Other writing support as needed (SOQs, marketing articles and blogs, technical planning documents, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to navigate various locations and settings of the company
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle

Salary Range:

  • $80,000 to $100,000 (DOE)
