Job Description:


Optimum Energy is embarking on a new phase of company growth and is seeking a proficient and committed Full Stack Developer (Front-End Focus) with DevOps Expertise to join our product development team. In this role, you'll play a vital role in shaping and implementing our infrastructure standards to accelerate the development process.

 

Your primary duties will involve building the next iteration of our SaaS/Cloud-based platform designed for optimizing buildings. You will be responsible for designing software and systems that collect, analyze, and interpret data, subsequently transforming it into valuable insights for our clients.

 

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Front End technologies, strong database skills, cloud DevOps skills, and the ability to pick up new development technologies quickly. Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently are essential for this role.

 

 

 Responsibilities: 


  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, responsive front-end applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Implement robust set of services and APIs to power the web application.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Lead the adoption of CI/CD practices, including automation of testing and deployment processes using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Manage and optimize infrastructure as code, ensuring seamless and continuous deployment.
  • Monitor applications and services in production, responding swiftly to any downtime or performance issues.
  • Design, implement, and maintain SaaS based applications as well as tools to streamline solution delivery by internal teams and partners
  • As a member of a team practicing test driven development, participate in the definition of feature acceptance criteria, write unit, integration, and acceptance test
  • Integrate software with internal systems and vendor provided libraries, applications, and systems
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, Product and Development managers to define technical strategy, plan projects, develop requirements, write specifications
  • Quickly acquire knowledge of HVAC control systems, data collection, and energy consumption, baseline and savings calculation methods

 

 

Requirements:


  • 8+ years of Full Stack experience developing enterprise web applications, with an emphasis on the Front End (React.js)
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks/libraries like React, and MUI.
  • Solid understanding of server-side languages such as Node.js, Ruby, or Java.
  • Extensive experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience using technologies including the web-based technologies and web services, multi-tiered architectures, and REST APIs
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design
  • Experience designing and deploying large scale distributed data processing systems and relational databases
  • Understanding of asynchronous request handling, and partial page updates
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to articulate software design and code structure

 

 

Preferred:

 

      • Worked specifically with React / MUI framework
      • Experience developing in a Linux and Google Cloud environment
      • Worked in Ruby on Rails environment
      • Experience with enterprise SaaS applications
