Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company in their search for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst. This is a 6-month contract opportunity based out of Irvine, CA.
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years of experience in management consulting, corporate finance, or a similar function.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or another quantitative field.
- MBA/CFA is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills (building consulting style PPT presentations).
- Familiarity with digital tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau), Microsoft Excel (complex financial modeling), and experience with an enterprise accounting system (such as SAP) and using related data queries.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of operations on financial results.
Performs ad-hoc financial analysis skills:
- Able to critically analyse situations and solve problems effectively.
- Well-organized with a proven ability to successfully juggle multiple tasks and a strong track record of meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrates analytical skills in areas of high complexity and ambiguity.
- Experience in analysing complex financial reports.
- General knowledge of investment vehicles or experience in the investment management industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively partner with the Global Finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Develops/initiates and delivers moderate to complex strategic financial analysis to support business operations and decisions.
- Analyses financial and business information and key drivers at a business unit or functional level to assess business issues, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations for determining courses of action.
- Develops, delivers, and assesses the fiscal year plan and forecasts for a business unit or function as well as multi-year financial projects.
- Supports the annual budgeting process with analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
- Develops and delivers moderate to complex financial models, business management reports, and key financial metrics, including recurring financial analysis.
- Find ways to improve value and efficiency in existing financial models and reporting and work with team members to adopt best practices.
- Works well in a collaborative environment and is flexible with navigating ambiguity.
- Works through others to prepare analyses, seeks, and adjusts based on feedback.
Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA: $79.31/hour to $79.31/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
