About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Sr Software QA Analyst to join our growing team. Working as part of the Engineering organization, you will help to develop and grow our QA practice and methodology while also contributing direct testing for our product releases. Our product set encompasses direct-to-consumer financial management tools, a white-label enterprise Financial Planning platform, financial mini-tools, and our best-in-class financial projection API that enables a variety of customized experiences. Working with a cross-functional team (Product, Design, Engineering, Enterprise Success, and Services), you’ll deliver test plans, test scripts, analysis, and documentation around testing activities with an emphasis on our Financial Planning Engine system.

What you will do:
- Promote and enhance our QA strategy, processes, procedures, and best practices
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing across the platform with major emphasis on the Financial Planning Engine (FPE) system
- Support the QA team to drive the adoption of automated testing
- Work closely with the Data Architect and Product team to coordinate code releases to Production
- Record, log and track defects in the system in order to coordinate resolution with the development team and functional leads
- Define and maintain QA metrics for quantitative reporting and iterative improvement
- Write, review and execute test plans and test cases to ensure product release quality
What you bring:
- 7+ years experience in quality assurance for a digital product
- Demonstrated success in shipping quality products in a fast-paced environment High degree of competence with QA software and testing suites for accessible, responsive, cross-browser web applications
- Comfortable working directly with JSON, web service APIs and tools like Postman
- Comfortable working with and manipulating spreadsheets
- Experience managing/analyzing multiple versioned datasets
- Ability to write ad-hoc scripts (Python/Shell/Node/etc.) on said datasets is a nice to have
- Solid understanding of core financial and tax concepts (for example: periodic rate calculation, progressive tax bracket calculations, tax deduction logic, etc.)
- QA experience on data science projects
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with other teams within the organization
- Systematic approach to problem solving and strong attention to detail
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- $130- $170K which is the 25-75% in Pave, for All US
