As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role supporting the Capital Planning team and be responsible for the funding, tracking and daily procurement of capital. The ideal candidate will come from a finance/accounting background and have past experience managing systems and tool administration. The Senior Financial Analyst will also perform financial analytics including month-end close variance analysis, facilitates and leads the operating and capital annual budget process, provides relevant financial data for financial planning and forecasting, and performs special projects, performance improvements, and adhoc reports and analytics.
You will perform the following areas of responsibility:
- Manage our system-wide capital tool including annual updates.
- Facilitate the capital process.
- Perform month-end duties such as propose entries and perform variance analysis
- Perform forecasting and annual budgeting for capital, depreciation, interest and other areas as needed.
- Utilize financial reporting tools with in-depth knowledge of the financial systems.
Qualifications
Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Requires 5 years financial analysis experience.
- An understanding of the rapidly changing health care industry with the ability to adapt progressively to change.
- Demonstrated highly developed analytical ability to understand complex financial activities.
- A Bachelor's degree is required with a business emphasis is preferred.
- High aptitude for IT systems and reporting.
- Healthcare experience.
- Experience as a system tool administrator and managing a system, ideally Axiom, Lawson ERP, BI Dashboards, and/or Essbase.
- Experience with funding, tracking and daily procurement of capital.
- Finance/Accounting background.
- Experience with month end journal entries, financial analysis relating to capital, depreciation, capital reporting, and CIP accruals.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel
