Senior Financial Planning Analyst

As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst at Bezos Academy, you will be a vital member of the Finance team, supporting strategic resourcing decisions for our growing national network of Montessori-inspired preschools. You will manage the financial rhythms of our growing organization, including annual planning, long-range planning, and regular forecasting. You will interact with a broad spectrum of talented business partners, providing analytical support to senior management, including timely and relevant insights for periodic business reviews. You will have the opportunity to build out the Financial Planning and analysis reporting platform for our growing organization, driving report development and improvements while interacting with our cross-functional stakeholders.

LOCATION

• Flexible in the United States; Seattle, WA preferred
• Relocation support is available for this role for those willing to move to Seattle

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position.
• The full salary range for this position, across all United States geographies, is $96,000 - $199,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience; during the interview process, candidates will learn the starting salary range applicable for their location.
• This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a similar discipline with an analytical bias
• Eight or more years of relevant professional experience
• Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and interpretations of results that are grounded in data
• Experience using Financial Planning software (e.g., Vena, Planful, Essbase, or similar)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (macros, index match, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in a relevant field or discipline
• Track record of experience analyzing large volumes of complex data and presenting findings to senior management
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to various levels of management and backgrounds
• Familiarity with concepts of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with SQL / database management
• Comfort and confidence leveraging analytics and data visualization software (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
