Job Summary:
JEGS Automotive is looking for an experienced Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to oversee the company's financial planning processes, analyze financial data, and provide strategic insights to support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.
You will:
- Financial Planning and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes. Work closely with department heads to gather relevant information, analyze trends, and prepare accurate financial forecasts.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and achieve business objectives.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and analyses to senior management, highlighting key metrics, variances, and trends. Develop dashboards and other visual tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Cost Management: Monitor and analyze costs, expenses, and budget variances. Collaborate with operational teams to identify cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Business Partnership: Partner with various departments to provide financial expertise and support decision-making processes. Act as a strategic advisor to department heads, helping them understand the financial implications of their decisions.
- Forecast Accuracy: Continuously evaluate the accuracy of financial forecasts and adjust based on actual performance and market trends.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial planning and analysis processes. Implement best practices and streamline workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Stay updated on relevant accounting principles and industry best practices.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the automotive or retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience managing a team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
