The Manufacturing Finance Analyst will support our North American chemical operations to: a.) ensure manufacturing and logistics costs are accurately controlled and recorded; b.) partner with operations teams to drive cost improvements in the business; c.) control and assess financial returns on key operational investments; and d.) support all finance-related activities across multiple production sites in the United States and Canada. This role is equal parts controllership and financial planning & analysis. Key Characteristics: Consistently exhibit a controlling mindset with the ability to lead financial activities across manufacturing and logistical operations. Continually distill operational data into actionable information and insights at both an operational and financial level. Regularly display a strong financial acumen and the willingness to partner with various stakeholder groups to drive meaningful change. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform all COGS-related closing activities and financial analysis for the chemicals business in North America totaling approximately $350M in annual spend. Partner with plant leaders to improve financial performance and working capital position. Drive the creation of annual operating plans and ongoing cost estimates. Support strategic plan initiatives and financial decisions including plant expansions, product repositions, and rationalizations, as needed. Support capital spend, new investment models and physical counts, as required. Support make-versus-buy and margin analysis. Conduct annual physical inventories at the production plants; Inventory adjustments, analysis and develop plant scorecard. Conduct internal control/process reviews based on applicable statutory and IFRS reporting requirements. Respond to client ad-hoc requests for customized data and reports in a knowledgeable and flexible manner. Hard Skills: Cost accounting experience, preferably in an SAP environment Proven analytical skills and ability to operate at an appropriate level of detail for stakeholders Provide ability to lead and influence people, both directly and indirectly Strong customer focus Soft Skills: Inclusive: Passioned for working in different cultures and environments, in a collaborative organization with a diversity team. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience 3-4 years of relevant Supply Chain Finance experience in either Supply Chain Controllership and/ or Supply Chain FP&A (overall finance experience must be within Supply Chain)
