The Finance & Investments group provides analysis, advisory, and decision support for investment activities of the Retail division.
The Senior Analyst role is designed to provide quantitative and other analytical support for the entire Retail division, including the executive team. The role will involve:
Real estate investment analytics
Significant interpersonal collaboration within the division, including direct engagement with senior management
Preparation of materials for the division, Investment Committee, Rating Agencies, and the Board of Directors, among others
Ad hoc analysis to assist in strategic decision-making
Assist in divisional financial planning and forecasting
- Review underwriting, credit analysis, and capital requests for redevelopments, reinvestments, and new lease transactions
- Preparation of key deliverables to support investment decisions, including investment rationale memos, financial exhibits, board materials, and internal executive communication
- Monitor industry performance and key trends for retailers and peer retail real estate companies
- Perform credit reviews of large companies (public & private) as well as personal guarantors and give security recommendations for new leases
- Develop financial models and analytic frameworks to support new strategic initiatives as well as decision-making
- Create ad-hoc analyses in support of corporate and divisional strategic projects
- Review and assist with process-level enhancements
- Assist in the production of monthly financial reports, quarterly forecasts, and the annual budget
Education:
- BA or BS in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-5 years in a Financial Analyst role, real estate background a plus but not required.
Other:
- Well-versed in Microsoft suite with an emphasis on Excel
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Work will take place in our Irvine office with very limited opportunities for remote work
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $93,300.00 - $117,700.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
