Description:
NIRA, Inc. is looking for a Senior Configuration Management (CM) Analyst to support a large program within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Washington, DC. The role involves working closely with FAA stakeholders to develop configuration case files for large air traffic control facilities and providing Configuration Management support while maintaining industry best practices and ensuring effective communication among teams. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work within various teams, proactively resolve issues, and present solutions to senior leadership.
Required: Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance (Be present in the United States 3 years of the last 5 years)
Responsibilities:
- Review facility drawings to extract and analyze a variety of engineering data to develop, prepare, or recommend Configuration Items and to incorporate CM changes.
- Perform CM audits at large air traffic facilities to ensure accuracy of facility baseline documentation.
- Create CM Change Requests (CRs) using the FAA Enterprise Configuration Management Automation (CMA) Tool.
- Track/Monitor Configuration Change Decisions (CCDs) and action items using the FAA CMA tool through close-out of a CCD.
- Maintain configuration change logs and prepare briefing slides for Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
- Conduct CM Team meetings, including creating agendas, recording and distributing meeting minutes.
- Participate in Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings.
- Assist with creating program-level Configuration Management Plans and FAA Orders.
- Serve as a liaison between the Program Office and Service Areas; coordinate Configuration Management activities, such as creation of case files.
- Analyze, collect, and present data in high-visibility FAA key stakeholder meetings.
- Develop and maintain integrated spreadsheets to assist with FAA decision making.
- Compile, assess and analyze large data sets from various sources to identify coordination requirements, impacts, solutions, and recommendations.
- Examine requirements across various initiatives and provide recommendations for comprehensive program planning purposes.
- Participate/lead change management activities, develop documentation, presentations, briefings, white papers, etc.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key FAA stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing tailored engineering solutions.
- Identify potential risks across the program and offer strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
- Proficiency with Configuration Management best practices for large facilities.
- Experience with Configuration Management tools.
- Experience with federal government Facilities Configuration Management is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and present data effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
- Quality conscious with focus on delivering work products of a high caliber.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize assignments and workload.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree (Or Related Experience)
