Our expanding law firm is looking for an experienced Estate Planning Attorney. We require a highly analytical applicant with excellent negotiation and organizational abilities who is available to work full-time. You will prepare documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney as our Estate Planning Attorney. This role carries a great deal of responsibility and seeks to eliminate questions regarding how an estate should be managed. Responsibilities
• Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
• Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
• Prepare wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents
• Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
• Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
Qualifications
• Experience at a law firm working on Estate Planning and probate law issues for at least 5 years is required
• Must be able to have a minimum of 30 billable hours each week
• 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
• Candidates should be great communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high
• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Understanding of a variety of real estate matters, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation
