Workplace Status:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the candidate is expected to report to the Milford Proving Ground three times per week, at minimum, or other frequency dictated by the business.
The Team:
The Vehicle Integration Team is a unique mixture of hands-on Vehicle Integration work and program management. In this role you will be responsible for driving software fidelity across multiple programs. You will be leading a team of individuals that is responsible for identifying and leading the preliminary root cause of issues across the entire controls system and driving them to closure.
Additional activities include managing the software and controls fidelity list for the program and reporting out in VAPIR and other GPD forums. The Vehicle Integration team works closely with multiple teams across GM including Systems Engineering, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Program, and the SMTs to ensure that vehicle development milestones are met with quality.

What You'll Do:
- Lead a software integration teams responsible for ensuring vehicle fidelity across all GVDP milestones. This is done by prioritizing and driving must address issues to closure for each VeSCoM / program milestone.
- Ensure read across of lessons learned, best practices and vehicle issues are shared across all Vehicle Integration teams
- Lead customer scorecard timeline and approval for VeSCoM releases
- Develop, document and refine core processes to ensure efficiencies internally and meets core stakeholders needs
- Work closely with product integration, rapid response, and vehicle test teams to align on flow, roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure key metrics have observability and drive for improvements internally within the teams.
- Cultivate a collaborative environment irrespective of structural and organizational barriers.
- Build relationships, work closely with functional peers across electronics, software, calibration, quality, manufacturing, program, product and program management organizations to improve effectiveness and efficiency of work
- Develop strategic action plans to support business goals and lead those action plans to successful completion
- Manage employee performance, provide candid & constructive feedback and develop direct reports
- Foster career growth and professional development of all team members

Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- BS in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- Proactive / results driven individual with high levels of initiative and a focus on results
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- Systems minded with a strong focus on customer impact
- Program management experience
- Strong understanding of major automotive systems and subsystems
- Strong understanding of GxDP and program execution deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments independently with a high accountability for results
- Ability to communicate complex issues to leader for alignment and efficient escalation
- Demonstrated ability to lead a high performing team to on-time completion of deliverables
- High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
- Must like working in an ambiguous environment where you enjoy being innovative and driving new solutions to the organization
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with and/or knowledge of relevant technologies (eg. Chassis controls, Infotainment, Active Safety, CyberSecurity, AUTOSAR, Propulsion Controls)
