Define, set, using Teamcenter Vismockup, Manufacturing Process Planning (MPP), Auros tools, and implement Bill of Process (BOP) and Bill of Equipment (BOE) requirements collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering team including Lean, Agile, Flexible (LAF) guidelines, for current and future passenger vehicle gasoline and diesel internal combustion Engine Assembly and manufacturing processes including Engine Assembly fastening, leak tests, robotic automation (part handling), dowel/fuel pump/fuel rail pressing, oil pan/lower crankshaft cover plasma treatment, aluminum and steel component room temperature vulcanization (RTV), and Autoload and Unload robotics, for new and major propulsion systems programs in North America Region. Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs) on fastening, pressing, plasma treatment technologies and hand tools. Support design engineering and on site equipment build and run-off. Assure new programs are executing all Bill of Process (BOP), Bill of Equipment (BOE) and Engine Assembly specifications. Execute Statement of Requirements (SORs) and project management for tools, workstations and technologies including fastening and hand tools. Required travel to U.S. & Mexico engine plants to attend Engine Assembly launches and troubleshoot assembly process problems, up to 8 weeks per year (equal to ~15% annual travel)
Additional Description
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field, and three (3) years of experience as an Engineer, or related role. Must also have experience with: defining and implementing Bill of Equipment (BOE) and Bill of Process (BOP) requirements for passenger vehicle engine manufacturing processes including leak tests, robotic automation, aluminum and steel component room temperature vulcanization (RTV), and Engine Assembly fastening.
