Senior Electronics Repair Technician

Teal Drones, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Red Cat Holdings, has an immediate opening for an experienced Electronics Repair Technician, to be responsible for supporting quality, manufacturing and RMA repair activities. This role will entail working with team leads, production supervisors, and engineers to continuously improve processes and product quality, all while ensuring that production goals are performed met in a timely, safe, and professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Support production, manufacturing testing, and engineering operations.

● Perform troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies to meet delivery schedules.

● Assist with assembly of electronic components, subassemblies, and systems.

● Perform electrical mechanical repair, assembly, calibration and test operations on RMA units.

● Duties and tasks are standardized but what is performed could vary day to day.

● Perform setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, test instruments, and mechanical assemblies.

● Use test procedures, drawings, schematics and verbal/written instructions to test, repair, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies.

● Log and provide root cause failure analysis data to the Quality department.

● Maintain test fixturing, perform calibration and perform preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment.

● Support RMA/repair activities.

● Fully tests units after repair to ensure conformance to Teal specifications for quality.

● Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

● Minimum of one year of experience in electronics technology field.

● Associate Degree in Electronics preferred, or equivalent experience.

● Demonstrated ability to communicate technical topics verbally and in writing.

● Evidence of capable analytical and troubleshooting skills.

● Must be able to work with instructions from the engineer or manager.

● Knowledge and use of soldering stations, and soldering techniques.

● Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot to the component level.

● Knowledge and experience using standard electronics test equipment like oscilloscope, digital multimeter and spectrum analyzers used in manufacturing and repair.

● Experience with RF/wireless systems and lab measurements is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Manual Dexterity: Proficient handling of small electronic components and tools with precision and accuracy is essential for tasks such as soldering and assembly.
• Visual Acuity: Clear vision is necessary to read schematics, identify small components, and perform detailed tasks accurately.
• Hand-Eye Coordination: Effective coordination between hands and eyes is crucial for tasks such as soldering, assembly, and troubleshooting.
• Mobility: The ability to move around the production floor comfortably to access equipment, workstations, and perform repairs.
• Ability to Lift: Capable of lifting and carrying moderately heavy electronic equipment and components as required for repair and assembly.
• Physical Stamina: Endurance to stand or sit for extended periods during assembly, repair, and testing procedures.
• Fine Motor Skills: Precise and controlled movements are necessary for intricate repair work and manipulation of electronic components.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on detail ensures accuracy in assembly, troubleshooting, and repair processes.
• Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety protocols to prevent injury when handling electronic equipment and tools.

Salary: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
