The Senior Director of Radiology Operations is a critical leadership position responsible for directing and managing the performance of Radiology and Ultrasound services. This role primarily focuses on planning, implementing, and controlling efficient and cost-effective processes to drive strong colleague engagement, exceptional service quality, and consistent delivery that meets our brand promise. The role will oversee the managers to ensure strong colleague engagement, smooth and seamless execution of member x-ray and ultrasound performance, achievement of VPD Objectives, adherence to regulatory standards, and compliance with company policies. This role will work in concert with the Sr. Director, Client Advocacy to ensure reliable and improving performance that supports expanded market share while delighting our clients and patients. This role will work with the COO to manage the team while creating a culture that respects the individual, achieves the results, and supports long-term success for VuePoint Diagnostics.
Position can be remote or based in Atlanta, GA. The Senior Director of Radiology Operations will travel as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute operational strategies to achieve key results aligned with the overall VuePoint objectives to ensure a return on the investment in colleagues, equipment, and supporting services.
- Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with process improvement colleagues to implement processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Collaborate with other department heads in the development and achievement of the organizational strategic plan.
2. Operational Management:
- Lead and develop managers, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of colleagues in the field and those that support those colleagues
- Drive creation and achievement of key results that align with defined company objectives
- Monitor and evaluate operational performance indicators, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve service levels, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Create and implement operational policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance operational processes.
3. Team Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership to the managers and colleagues, fostering a high-performance culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Create strong regional delivery mechanisms to ensure access to services for patients and clients that depend on VuePoint
- Foster professional development and performance management of direct reports, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver Key Results.
- Develop succession plans and talent development strategies to promote career growth and advancement within the organization.
- Engage in talent requirement as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business or a healthcare-related field
- 10+ years leading clinical operations with increasing levels of responsibility
- Mobile healthcare operations experience is strongly preferred
- Skilled leader of others with significant mentoring and coaching experience
- Process-minded management background using metrics to guide decisions
- Exceptional communicator able to influence and engage a broad range of stakeholders
- Previous operational management experience
- High regard for security standards, regulatory standards, and quality control
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of all patients and other relevant information under HIPAA Guidelines
