Savara Hospitality is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to join its team as Senior Director of Operations.
The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for leadership, management and execution of all hospitality operations across all of Savara’s boutique hotel portfolio, and includes:
- Oversight of Operations at all hotels in the portfolio with the intent of maximizing guest satisfaction while maintaining operational efficiencies.
- Providing guidance and oversight to property-level General Managers across all departments, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage.
- Working alongside General Managers to maintain service delivery quality levels, including collaboration on reservation delivery and monitoring of feedback scores, guest survey responses, and quality assurance scores.
- Implementation of action plans as needed to ensure business objectives are being met.
- Working with General Managers to monitor and maintain staff morale.
- Motivating, coaching, and training General Managers, setting goals and holding team members accountable, and providing appropriate feedback, rewards, and recognition.
- Working with General Managers to mitigate and resolve emergency situations.
- Working with General Managers and executive leadership to meet all procurement needs of the property.
- Working with the General Managers to track and uphold budget targets.
- Working with General Managers to implement and maintain usage of productivity and tracking tools.
- Acting as the direct liaison between hotels and executive leadership.
- Oversight of property-level talent management, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; planning, assigning, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving.
- Ensuring proper, appropriate and timely operations reporting and record keeping at all properties, including ensuring that all properties are in compliance with all regulatory authorities.
- Oversight of food and beverage programs across portfolios to ensure both quality and costs are being appropriately balanced alongside income.
- Serving as subject matter expert on all brand standards, including those from Marketing Dept, corporate programs, soft brands, and technology platforms utilized.
- Demonstrating a high level of integrity, taking ownership of personal and team actions, communicating effectively, promoting collaboration, nurturing a positive, professional work environment, and ensuring development of, and adherence to, Savara’s hotel operations policies, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Collaboration with key stakeholders on budgeting and financial reporting.
- Performing tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure that the entire portfolio all operations are operating optimally and that high guest satisfaction scores are maintained.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with different types of personalities using sound judgment and discretion
- Working knowledge of employment, health, and safety laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Ability to work under pressure, manage emergency situations, and prioritize projects
- Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule
- Deep experience with banquets and food & beverage operations
- Proficient with Hotel Property Management Systems, Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
- Strong finance, accounting, and quantitative skills
- Must be a self-starter who is detail-oriented, able to multitask, and think outside the box
- 10+ years of experience in a general manager or regional director role at hotels of similar size and quality
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- BA/BS, 4-5 year degree or foreign equivalency preferred, but not required.
