We are searching for a Senior Director to lead Enterprise Brand Identity for Capital One. In this role, you will lead the development, innovation, maintenance, and governance of Capital One’s Enterprise Brand identity and naming systems. You will partner closely with cross functional groups across the Brand department, marketing teams, and business areas to develop and manage the Enterprise naming ecosystem and the identity systems for all business areas to make Capital One, our products, and our services easy to recognize, remember, and choose.
What you’ll do
Build and manage the Enterprise Brand identity strategy and elements for all existing and new businesses, products, services, etc including development, management, and oversight for all identity elements including
Logo, trademark, and lock up system
Distinctive assets
Product, service, and feature naming
Digital assets, such as app tile system
Business area identity systems
Plastics architecture
Physical structure identities
Lead the management of the Enterprise Identity ecosystem inclusive of all business areas.
Partner with the Brand Planning and Insights function to measure and analyze performance of identity elements and Brand assets.
Partner with senior business and marketing leaders to develop Identity and Naming strategies and systems for all business areas that enable target audiences to easily identify and recognize products and services while also ensuring an obvious connection to Capital One.
Utilize data and insights to identify opportunities to introduce new or evolve existing Brand assets and oversee the development of new assets.
Manage a team of strategists.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 8 years of experience leading Brand strategy, Brand marketing, or Brand identity for a multi-product consumer Brand.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience leading and directing large, multi-discipline Brand marketing and design teams.
8+ years of experience at a Brand Agency, Consultancy or corporate Brand.
Experience directly managing a team of 5+ people.
Proven track record leading and managing a large consumer facing Brand including multi-product lines and product brands.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $236,800 - $270,300 for Sr. Director, BrandCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
