Job Description

The DevOps Engineer identifies and optimizes interdependencies through a collaborative approach which improves continuous delivery.

They break down silos by introducing processes, tools, and methods that balance needs throughout the software development life cycle, from development and deployment, to maintenance and operations.

They should be an autonomous team member, highly communicative, able to build relationships and understand processes quickly, with an ability to solution and build improvements from end-to-end.

Develop innovative approaches on SDLC optimization & automation to ensure timely delivery and enhanced speed to market.

Develop custom features to govern and track adherence to automated processes and standards.

Integrate and adhere with the defined development and delivery processes, such as: Change Management, Release Management, Audit & Compliance, SLA Compliance, Productivity and other metrics and goals.

Adhere to Security Policies and work to automate Security into the processes wherever possible.

Utilize collaborative skills to work with business partners, IT managers/staff, to develop Continuous Integration and Delivery incorporating Code Quality, Test automation, API automation, etc.

Serve as a thought leader, change agent, and coach within product teams to enable DevOps mindset, processes, and tools.

Enable adoption of Unit Testing, Automated Functional and Integration Tests, Automated UAT, etc.

Enable implementation of CI (continuous integration) and CD (continuous delivery) for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) as well as Software Development.

Analyze technology platform team's current state processes for opportunities to streamline, integrate, and automate.

Evaluate opportunities to automate the upgrade of services by conferring with users and vendors.

Organize communication relevant to assigned initiatives.

Participate in designing system infrastructure with appropriate IT and Development personnel.

Participate in system implementation with appropriate IT and Development personnel, including system selection, installation, script development, software and hardware configuration, testing, deployment, logging and monitoring.

Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring & analysis and performance tuning. Troubleshoot all aspects of service failures, including hardware, software, network and operating system failures.

Experience with tools like: Service Now, Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines), Git/GitHub, SAP ChaRM, SAP Solution Manager, SAP BTP, PowerApps, Jenkins, Puppet, Azure API Management, Azure Dev Test Labs, ARM Templates, Worksoft, Postman, AppDynamics, Azure Monitor, etc.
