Senior Database Developer
Remote
Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for a Senior Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for database development and working with enterprise directory services systems (virtual or physical). This position will be remote and the hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm EST, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement databases in AWS cloud environments, aligning with the best scalability, security, and performance practices.
- Act as technical leader on supporting database systems, resolving database and Windows system technical issues
- Provide the technical guidance and training to team members
- Responsible for database objects design and coding, including tables, views, procedures, functions, and triggers
- Responsible for database troubleshooting, repairing, database activity monitor, daily and weekly database backup / restoration and database performance tuning. SQL Server security vulnerability assessment and remediation
- Responsible for upgrades to the database system and the configuration of the database implementation to function with ICAM enterprise
- Responsible for the configuration of SQL Server High Availability function and Disaster Recovery for ICAM enterprise
- Responsible for database migration between domains across directories (Active Directory, or other identity stores)
- Responsible for configuration of security policy, remote SQL server connectivity, user account access and SQL server tasks assignment
- Responsible for managing virtualization layers that aggregate and integrate identity data from various sources
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand identity data models and translate them into effective schemas.
- Develop schema mapping and transformation strategies to bridge the gap between different identity repositories.
- Provide expertise in identifying and resolving issues related to schema design and data configuration.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to establish seamless connections and data synchronization processes.
- Implement data transformations to harmonize disparate identity data structures.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science or IT or related field
- 10+ years’ experience with databases, design and administration, technology domain, including AWS RDS, MS SQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, MySQL, Informix, CSV file and flat file, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of directory services protocols such as LDAP and Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of identity data modeling, including LDAP schemas.
- Must have AWS Certified Database Certificate or related database certificates
- Must be authorized to work in the US or US Citizen and able to pass background check
- Must live in the United States
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with the ICAM Zero Trust Maturity model
- Experience with Radiant Logic and/or CyberArk
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
