Senior Database Administrator (Fully Remote)

Future Technologies is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our winning team. • Responsible for administering, supporting, designing, and assisting in the implementation of new and existing systems, middleware, data interface engines, data conversions, and data architectures.
• Maintaining legacy system databases and assisting in the migration of new systems.
• Develop and manage the database transition plans to ensure accuracy throughout the conversion.
• Expected to identify and promote best practices for database setup, security, data modeling, data conversions, and data interfaces.
• Providing oversight for all activities related to data cleansing, data quality, and data architecture, utilizing standard methodologies and processes.
• May participate in an on-call rotation that requires after-hours support and may also adjust work hours to perform maintenance tasks at times least impactful to customers.

• SQL experience
• Five (5 +) years of IT experience, primarily within the areas of data management, database management/conversions and database development architecture
• Design complex databases, tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, and other database objects.
• Design and develop ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) solutions.
• Work closely with application development project teams to ensure optimal application performance.
• Optimize database performance through several techniques including but not limited to indexing, query optimization, and database design.
• Participate in periodic High Availability / Disaster Recovery tests of critical systems.
• Upgrade and patch DBMSs.
