Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location and experience. Sr. Data Engineer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3 to 6 years of experience in GCP Cloud Migration
- Experience with data migration strategies and moving production systems either in on-prem/data center environments or migration to cloud scenarios
- Knowledge of different GCP components & their applicability to solutions
- 7-15 years of experience in writing Python/PySpark codes, HIVE and SQL queries
- 7-15 years of experience developing ETL workflows
- 7-15 years of experience with database performance tuning and database management tools for backups, recovery, and snapshot management
- 7-15 years of experience with database administration techniques
- Experience in US Healthcare is preferred
- Knowledge in query troubleshooting such as isolating blocks of poor performing code, determining root cause and developing remediation actions
- Design-thinking and excellent verbal, written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Be a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex database migration challenges
- Analyze on-prem and cloud database environments and consult/work on the optimal design for performance and deployment on Google Cloud Platform
- Create and deliver best practices recommendations and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders
