Job Description
The Senior Data Analyst will design and implement processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis, modeling, and predicting to enable informed business decisions. Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. Collaborates across departments to define requirements and understand business problems. Uses advanced mathematical, statistical, querying, and reporting methods to develop solutions. Develops information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance. Creates solutions from initial concept to fully tested production and communicates results to a broad range of audiences. Effectively uses current and emerging technologies.
The Senior Data Analyst will influence the outcome of system architecture which will perform ETL and storage of the data throughout the lifespan of data projects, working in close collaboration with the Director of Data Engineering to design and build the systems and key components.
This role has direct influence over the development of a robust automation and reporting system being hands-on with building tools from the ground up. The Senior Data Analyst has responsibility such as:
- Develop and implement roadmaps for robust data automation and reporting systems.
- Work hands-on to connect data from a variety of data sources to an integration engine, in preparation for data to be loaded into BI reporting systems.
- Assist in developing documentation and processes for future team members to quickly understand and adopt developed systems and data sources/assets.
- Develop new reporting methodologies based on gathered requirements.
- With limited supervision, the Sr. Dat Analyst is responsible for data compilation, data management, data analysis, and reporting to get data insights and documentation.
- Extracts and compiles various sources of information and large data sets from various systems or applications providing feedback to create curated data models.
- Set up process for monitoring, tracking, and trending information and data using various systems or applications.
- Prepares well-organized, easily understood reports, analysis, and summary of findings for use by management.
- Assists in preparation of regularly produced reports to support executive decision-making.
- Research and analyze report results identifying opportunities and trends.
- Azure Lakehouse-Experience, Notebook and SQL-Advanced.
- Interact and collaborate with multiple teams (Data Science, Consulting & Engineering) and various stakeholders to meet deadlines, to bring Analytical Solutions to life.
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in report development using Power BI or similar.
- Real-time experience working in Power BI that includes Model Creation, Advanced SQL, Python, Power Query, and DAX, RLS Implementation, Performance Tuning, and Security.
- Exposure to ETL tools & good understanding of DBMS & OLAP.
- Process mapping & business requirements documentation.
- Experienced in Azure stack or similar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
- U.S. work authorization (Remote work must be performed in USA)
