One of my FinTech clients is gearing up for a 2 year growth phase. They are hiring for a Sr Data Analyst. This is a nearly created role which will have strong exposure & interaction with the executive team. My client is moving from an off prem MSP data set up to 100% cloud via Cloudera. One of the competitive advances my client has in the market: they are the largest data aggregation big data analytics platform. The largest 80% of financial institutions in their space use the platform / core clients.
In this role, you will be at times client facing helping them through the transformation from off prem MSP to a product offering via Cloudera and Salesforce. In addition, you will help their client re-map their data and walk through new features / products they need.
Responsibilities
· Work with the Cloudera solutions team to transition client data support and analysis functions to internal resources ( cloud tools on Cloudera and Salesforce )
· Assume data support responsibilities with Cloudera to troubleshoot any production issues
· Coordinate with Senior Manager, Data Operations and Senior Manager, Information Quality to assess operational needs
· Partner with the internal leadership teams to establish a new operations model focused on data management, re-mapping, data ingestion + validation
New Operational Model
· Engage with external clients to ensure all steps of the data on-boarding process are completed successful and efficiently
· Lead data maintenance and remapping efforts by coordinating with external clients & internal operational resources
· Actively monitor data ingestion process and escalate opportunities for data quality enhancements to appropriate senior manager
· Serve as the SME on structure and formats for data assets
Required skills
Strong analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
5+ years experience background in data management / operations systems in an agile environment is a plus
Proven background participating in large scale initiatives and being self-motivated with little need for oversight
Please note this role is 100% remote but the hiring client does require all team members to meet up in person 2 - 3 times per year. They like to have the entire company meet in person a few times a year for kickoff meets and team building. It's roughly a 25 person company. And this has been a client of mine for nearly 5 yrs & I have successfully placed their last 9 hires. Base salary of 90k to 100k, solid benefits, 401k match, good PTO, flex hours remote and a profit sharing plan of 10-20% which has paid out for 9 straight yrs. They have grown revenues and team headcount for 9 straight years.
