Job description

About the Role

As part of the Finance team, the Senior Data Analyst will be the data lead for the Finance and Accounting department. They are responsible for setting up and maintaining the requirements, metrics, and tables for the data warehouse as well as developing automated reporting/dashboards for leadership teams across the company. The Senior Data Analyst is the liaison between the Finance functional users and the IT technical team. This position will also be involved in financial reporting, month-end close, and financial analysis.


This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager and involves interaction with all departments within Precor at all levels.


Responsibilities

  • Support Precor’s efforts to better transform data into insights by aligning on and designing standard dashboards, centralized reporting packages, and KPI reports as well as ongoing maintenance and review of the outputs for accuracy.
  • Develop automated dashboard reporting to convert raw data into valuable insights and real-time analysis.
  • Support the Finance team in the effort to improve upon and build out sustainable tools and processes that can be delivered and maintained allowing the business units to focus on operational excellence.
  • Ensure continuous data and reporting integrity through maintenance and administration of planning tools including proactive implementation of enhancements and a special emphasis on data validation and resolution of discrepancies between data sources.
  • Configure, design, implement the integration of financial data between SAP and Business Objects.
  • Work closely with the Finance and IT teams in the implementation and streamlining of data uploads and integration.
  • Integrate reporting requirements enhance processes to allow automation of month-end management reporting to identify efficiency gains and developing budgeting/forecasting systems.
  • Work with cross-functional customer groups on the analysis of special projects, proposals, and assignments.
  • Troubleshooting interface discrepancies and financial system issues.


Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job will be considered.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or other relevant coursework accepted.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with SAP or similar financial system (Oracle, Peoplesoft).
  • 3+ years working with business / financial intelligence tools such as Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive Insights or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience creating financial reporting for senior management, including management dashboards.
  • Extensive experience as liaison and project lead between Finance and IT teams.
  • Experience with driving data to insights and sustainable process in a large matrixed organization.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and finance principles and processes.
  • Consistently takes a positive, "can do" approach in developing and delivering solutions.
  • Fully utilizes technical and interpersonal skills to maximize results and takes a proactive approach to anticipate potential showstoppers and roadblocks.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, quantify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate ideas through oral and written presentations.
  • Listen to others and appropriately act on information provided.
  • Manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.


Pay Range: $99,000 to $110,000

The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
