We are looking for talented Controls Software Engineers who enjoy thinking outside the box to solve practical problems with no standard solution. What You’ll Do:
- Conceptualize, design, and program controls systems including PLC and graphic interface using Allen Bradley software - CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Studio 5000, GuardLogix, and Panelview.
- Provide programming solutions within diverse vertical markets including but not limited to food and beverage, packaging, and warehousing.
- Debug software to get to the root cause of an issue and resolve it.
- Make decisions on robotic controls concepts/interfacing.
- Create and update documentation.
- Mentor junior controls engineers
- Be the lead engineer and point of contact for the customer for technical issues.

What you'll need:
- PLC expertise in Allen Bradley is required(Compact, Control, Guard)
- Proficiency in Siemens is a plus.
- HMI programming expertise in Allen Bradley is required. (FactoryTalk View ME)
- Proficiency in Ignition or Siemens is a plus.
- Experience in higher level programming languages is a plus, but not required. (C#, C++, Java, etc.)
- Knowledge of Ethernet based communication protocols. (Ethernet IP, Profinet)
- Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (Pwerflex525, Powerflex755, etc.)
- Familiarity with Servo Drives (Kinetix5700, Powerflex527, etc.)
- Proficient robotics skills, primarily FANUC but other brands welcome.
- Experience providing controls solutions for vertical markets such as food and beverage, packaging, warehousing.
- Understanding of various programming standards (GCCS, SICAR, etc.)
- Understanding of Power Distribution systems and the ability interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to write machine code from scratch using Sequence of Operations and Electrical Drawings only.
- Ability to work independently at a senior level.
- Ability to foresee and mitigate possible risks.
- Ability to travel to customer site 25% -50%
- Ability to be receptive to alternate ideas and solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent soft skills when working with customers and colleagues.
