We are seeking a Senior Counsulant to join our Economic Damages & Valuation team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with developing skill sets of financial analysis, report writing and communication to join a leading team of 16 professionals in their Westmont, NJ office location.
The Team and Job Summary:
The ideal candidate for this position possesses a minimum of 5 – 7 years of work experience evaluating Economic Damages in business litigation matters, covering a broad spectrum of industries and situations. A background in financial statement analysis and expert report preparation is preferred. A Senior Consulant will be responsible for managing cases regarding personal injury, wrongful death, discrimination claims, subrogation damages, business disputes, catastrophic loss and other economic damage claim issues and report to Senior/Executive Vice Presidents.
The most successful experts in our organization have a strong desire to learn and apply the methodologies used for evaluating Economic Damages. They constantly apply strong analytical and writing skills to produce expert reports to support our clients. Our goal is to help prepare and train staff to ultimately become an expert, and begin co-signing reports as skills and expertise progress over time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation engagements to evaluate Economic Damages, perform analysis and prepare economic loss reports, while not being identified as the initial expert in the case who will likely be a Senior/Executive Vice President
- Having direct contact with current clients, when necessary regarding document requests, reporting findings of our analysis mostly in coordination with Senior/Executive Vice President participation
- Interacting with clients, including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement
- Providing insight and expertise on target industries, market, and competitor information
- Preparing damages analyses, including determining appropriate methodologies and building and reviewing financial models, managing other consultants in performing tasks relevant to preparing a report our our findings. Taking the lead in managing a file and writing the report in conjuction with a team approach
- Review and analyze reports of opposing damages experts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with strong quantitative bias (e.g. Business, Economics, Math, Finance or Accounting)
- Relevant experience evaluating Economic Damages in business litigation cases (5 years preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word with strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality expert reports.
- Good project management skills.
- Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
- Able to meet deadlines while being detail oriented.
- Independent work ethic and leadership skills and qualities.
- Exceptional communication skills to support and solve our client’s questions and requests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications (ex. CPA, ASA, CVA, ABV, CFA, etc.), or have demonstrated progress towards obtaining certifications.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel as needed, although historically there is little or no travel outside the Philadelphia/NJ area

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
