Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for grading, street improvements, and underground facilities, ensuring adherence to design standards and client expectations.
- Supervise design quality and implement new ideas through plan reviews and training of junior staff.
- Engage in client and agency interactions, nurturing professional relationships.
- Represent the design team in meetings and conference calls.
- Develop design concepts and standards, serving as a key design resource.
- Prepare cost estimates, schedules, and coordinate the design team’s efforts.
- Produce technical reports and calculations to ensure designs are high-quality, cost-effective, and buildable.
- Supervise and mentor Interns, Associate Engineers, Designers, and Engineers.
- Act as a design leader in the Manager’s absence and assist with proposal preparation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum four years of Civil Engineering design experience, with three years solving complex problems within land development.
- EIT certification required, with a commitment to obtaining a PE license within two years.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and team-building skills.
