Description:

Lockheed Martin HR is undergoing an exciting period of transformation. Work is underway to transform how we approach our work today, including the modernization of the employee experience and aligning our operating model to enable more effective service delivery to our customers.
The HR Transformation Org is responsible for implementing a number of critical programs and initiatives that will transform HR at Lockheed Martin and this transformation will increase the volume and velocity of change required of HR. With the tremendous amount of work that the HR Transformation team is driving, there is a need for a dedicate change resource to help coordinate, integrate, and prioritize the change management plans across the various projects.
The Change Management Lead will be responsible for driving effective change management across a variety of HR Transformation projects. This position will report into the EO T&OC Organization, but fully support the HR Transformation team as their client group.
The Change Management lead will diagnose current state, align stakeholders, and design change management strategies to help transform ways of working to empower teams and accelerate innovation. This work includes collaborating across the organization to craft a vision, create an overall HR Transformation change narrative, lead a change agent network, and address systemic barriers to change.
Summary of Key Duties:
  • Conduct oversight of all change initiatives planned and underway for HR Transformation and ensure each is delivered effectively through the application of a consistent change management methodology and tool-set
  • Partner closely with the HR Transformation team and program manager to identify all potential change initiatives and prioritize these initiatives against pre-agreed criteria, and mapping of each initiative into an integrated change plan and schedule
  • Create communication strategy, including consistent thread of themes and key messages across all high priority programs
  • Coordinate and informally lead a group of change management subject matter experts/change network deployed to offer change management support to various initiatives
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Identification of the benefits associated with each change initiative, when they are likely to be realized and how these benefits are to be measured
  • Ensure alignment with the Corporate T&OC change management approach and best practices outlined for Lockheed Martin

Basic Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated success deploying change management tools and methodologies to improve the success of change initiatives
  • Demonstrated success managing large programs with clear organization and communication protocols
  • Experience managing change across multiple concurrent and disparate projects within a portfolio (ranging in size, scope, complexity and at various stages in the project lifecycle)
  • Exceptional communication skills both oral and written, and demonstrated success in producing companywide communications
  • Build strong credibility and relationships across HR and 1LMX organizations
  • Ability to collaborate and partner across a complex set of stakeholders with a positive outlook
  • Ability to build a strong business case and “burning platform” and communicating to all key stakeholders to build urgency and engagement
  • Effectively and consistently navigate ambiguous project environments; organize work efforts and deliverables with attention toward quality and accuracy

Desired Skills:


  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Prosci certified
  • 10 years of change management or related experience
  • Demonstrated success deploying agile change management or agile methodology
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration, and negotiation skills, at all levels in an organization
  • Passion to proactively approach difficult problems and leverage excellent facilitation and presentation skills to communicate clearly and bring people and organizations to where they need to go
  • Ability to understand complex information with ease and create organizational structure to simplify and align resources and material to create consistency across disparate projects
  • Demonstrated success leading change management for complex technology projects
  • Experience driving change management from an end user perspective (i.e., persona development)
  • Continuous learner that integrates change management best practices into ways of working

Ability to Work Remotely:

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:


The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $123,500 - $232,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:


The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $107,400 - $205,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
