Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior C# Developer who will be responsible for developing robust APIs and microservices, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring the security and scalability of our applications. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in C# development, extensive experience with Microsoft technologies, and a strong background in API development and database integration.


Position Requirements:

  • C#:
    • Proficiency in C# development, with a focus on building APIs and microservices.
    • Experience with designing and implementing scalable and maintainable C# codebases.
  • Microsoft Technologies:
    • Current knowledge of Microsoft .NET Framework, including C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API.
    • Ability to leverage Microsoft technologies effectively to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • API Development:
    • Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
    • Proven track record of implementing efficient and reliable API solutions.
  • Refactoring & Modernization:
    • Evaluate existing codebases to identify areas for refactoring and modernization.
    • Transform monolithic applications into modular microservices architecture.
  • Database Integration:
    • Experience in integrating databases and modernizing legacy systems.
    • Proficiency in SQL and ORM frameworks for seamless data management.
  • Version Control and CI/CD:
    • Hands-on experience with maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, or similar.
    • Ensure the continuous delivery and integration of code changes with minimal downtime.
  • Documentation:
    • Ability to write well-documented, clean code following best practices.
    • Document APIs, microservices, and architectural decisions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Security:
    • Recent experience with authentication, authorization, data encryption, and secure coding practices.
    • Implement security measures to protect against vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Ability to navigate technical challenges and architect complex projects.
  • Leadership:
    • Capability to lead and drive the strategic technical direction of engineering efforts.
  • Collaboration:
    • Aptitude for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, both internally and externally.
  • Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
    • 7+ years of .NET & C# Experience, with a focus on API and microservices development.
    • Solid experience with MS SQL, json, yaml, xslt, xml is a must.
    • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively gather business requirements, design technical solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to foster innovation within the team.
    • Ability to analyze complex technical issues systematically, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
    • Collaboration with different business units is critical as part of this role. This role requires the ability to effectively manage client relationships, understand their needs, and communicate technical solutions in a non-technical manner.

    Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills:

    • Exposure to Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies
    • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, and/or UI)
    • Some experience with NodeJS would be a plus.

    Role Progression

    This position has the potential to move into a Lead or Architect position.


    The starting annual pay scale for this position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience. In addition, the company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with match, paid time off, and other benefits.

    ISC's salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

    National Pay Range

    $140,000—$160,000 USD
