Position: Senior Buyer

Job Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer:
- Negotiate pricing, process purchase orders and track delivery
- Work cross-functionally with sales, accounting and Program Managers to support production
- Resolve discrepancies with suppliers regarding certs, pricing, etc.
- dentify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance overall purchasing process
- Manage supplier performance to meet schedules
- Maintain and order safety supplies
- Weekly orders for stationary supplies
Job Qualifications for the Senior Buyer position:
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years’ experience in purchasing
- Ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while demonstrating superior communication, team building and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as an individual contributor or on a team
- Shows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment
- Knowledge/understanding of Government contractor purchasing requirements, Federal Acquisition Requirements DFAR and local laws, and the ability to apply them in the procurements of commodities and services
- Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance to AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Knowledge of QAD helpful
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000/year
