Primary Responsibilities: The candidate's responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing or supporting the following actions:
- Coordinate meetings, maintain charters and facilitate annual project/portfolio reviews.
- Request inputs from contributors, collate, organize agenda and facilitate on-site.
- Facilitate Project Status briefs, Portfolio Reviews & Strategic Sessions.
- Conduct Command-level surveys.
- Cross-reference individual stakeholder priorities to create weighted priority scores.
- Provide monthly reports to NIWC PAC Executive Director.
- Validate project statuses twice per year (ID expired projects, missing quad charts, corrections).
- Maintain Hub/SharePoint pages.
- Target Pay Range: $28.00 - 34.00/hour
- Existing Security Clearance Required: This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must already possess an active or interim Secret (or above) clearance.
- Worksite: Primarily onsite at NIWC Pacific in Point Loma, San Diego, CA. Some telework flexibility may be allowed, in accordance with NIWC's current remote work allowance.
- Schedule: California Alternate Work Week schedule. Typically Mondays - Thursdays 9 hours daily, and Fridays alternate between 8 hours or 0 hours.
- Travel: Up to 5-10% local travel anticipated.
- Bachelor's degree in a project/organizational management, finance, business administration or related field.
- In lieu of a relevant Bachelor's degree, other qualifications such as a lesser degree, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or Navy Project Portal experience may be considered in conjunction with additional years of highly relevant experience.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of recent, relevant professional experience in program, project, and/or financial management in a U.S. Navy or other Department of Defense (DoD) environment (e.g., as active duty military personnel, Civilian Government employee, and/or as a DOD-supporting contractor). Ideal experience includes:
- Direct experience providing formal verbal & PowerPoint presentations to Senior-level executives within DoD commands.
- Developing and coordinating multiple schedules, collecting and consolidating meeting input materials, facilitating meetings and collecting participant & viewer takeaways.
- Firsthand knowledge of NIWC PAC and NAVWAR processes and tools
- Skills in creating and editing/updating MS SharePoint sites/pages
- Certifications in Navy scheduling, planning, business and/or financial applications are highly preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated confident interaction with senior/executive-level active duty military and civilian Government employees.
- Effective organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Proficient with common productivity software including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Some experience with MS Power BI preferred.
- Some experience with Navy Project Portal preferred.
- This position's essential functions typically include (but are not limited to): typing, hearing, talking, and vision.
