Senior Associate, External Audit Generalist (Multiple Positions), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Irvine, CA. Apply auditing standards and firm audit methodology, reinforce compliance requirements, and evaluate and respond to the results of audit procedures. Assist a variety of clients to solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Provide clients value through digitization, automation and increased efficiencies. Apply business advice of technical accounting and financial reporting standards, proactively identifying and articulating emerging technical issues. Use project management skills to maximize the effectiveness of the audit, managing and prioritizing issues based on materiality and risk. Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for clients. Support in leading engagements and perform business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients. Supervise and coach teams.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $109,346/yr.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.
In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance or a related field, plus 1 year of related work experience.
Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:
- Applying the audit approach, including the application of applicable auditing standards and firm audit methodology;
- Applying technical accounting and financial reporting standards;
- Assist with developing strategic business issues and trends, anticipating the impact of technology developments on client needs, and surfacing relevant behavioral patterns as potential trends; and
- Working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States (U.S. GAAP), United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards.
80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.
Travel requirement(s): Domestic and/or international travel required up to 40%.
