What you'll be challenged to do:
TranSystems has an immediate opening for a Senior Architect/Project Manager, with a primary focus in the Federal market, located in the Mid-Atlantic region. In this role, you will plan and manage all aspects of facility related projects for government agencies such as USACG, USACE, NAVFAC, DHS, CBP and many more. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Federal market including existing client relationships and the ability to develop new opportunities.
General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Serve as Project Manager with involvement in client development, project delivery and overall client satisfaction.
- Responsible for overall supervision and quality of those projects assigned. Ensure projects conform to contractual agreements.
- Understanding of team management, develops project scope of work, estimating manpower needs, prepare CPM schedules, and tracks project progress.
- Ensure projects are completed within the allocated period of time and within the budget that has been assigned.
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Ensures the project meets quality control and quality assurance guidelines.
- Plans and executes project meetings.
- Assists with business development goals established for the firm.
- Mentor other employees to be able to participate in Federal projects.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Bachelors degree in Architecture from an ABET accredited school.
- Registered Architect.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Self-motivating and able to function independently.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of building codes and standards of design.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Project.
- Able and willing to travel within the continental United States.
- Valid Driver’s License.

- NCARB certified.
- LEED Accredited Professional.
- Autodesk AutoCAD/Revit.
- SketchUp/Enscape rendering software.
- Established relationships in the Federal market.
- Skilled in business development and SF330 preparation.
- Knowledge of SpecsIntact, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC); Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) Energy Efficiency Requirements; DoD Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Standards; Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Design Standards and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)
