Senior Data Architect (hybrid)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Our Senior Data Architect is part of our dynamic Information Technology Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the overall Data Architecture strategy within our organization, architecting, developing, and managing the data platforms, data integrations and reporting and analytics solutions for Tandigm's enterprise business data.

- Develops and executes a data strategy that aligns with Tandigm's organization's goals and objectives.
- Design and implement data models that support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
- Identify and implement effective methods for integrating data from various sources, including databases, applications, and external systems.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Define the overall Data Architecture framework, including data structures, data flows, and data management processes.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Collaborate with data analysts to define and implement data analytics solutions that provide meaningful insights for decision-making.
- Assess and select appropriate data management technologies and tools to support the organization's Data Architecture strategy.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other relevant stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Uses, protects, and discloses Tandigm's patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards and protects Tandigm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference.
- Adheres to and responsible to abide by all information security policies, processes, and/or activities.
- Reports security events or potential events or other security risks to the organization to management.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology field. Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 8 years plus experience architecting enterprise data solutions
- 8 years hands-on data design in large-scale and complex data solutions development projects.
- In-depth experience in Data Architecture and design for large, complex enterprise data environments, for both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience architecting and delivering highly-scalable and flexible, cost-effective enterprise data solutions.
- Experience with data security and compliance.
- Experience and with data lifecycle management, data-tiering, and data archiving.
- Experience with Data Architecture for Data Solutions and Data Products
- Hands on experience with Data Vault methodology and VaultSpeed.
- Experience with Finance and/or Healthcare data and business domains is a plus.
- Proven track record of execution--driving results and meeting commitments.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Customer-service oriented; responsive and respectful to colleagues, clients, patients, and providers.
- Current with new technologies and vendor solutions available in the marketplace.
- Expertise in Data Architecture and design for both structured and unstructured data, with focus on scalability, extensibility, resilience, high availability, backwards compatibility and self-service
- Expertise in Lake House Architecture, Lambda and Kappa architecture, Datawarehouse design, BI for big data, Data Sharing, Shared Metastore.
- Expertise with data quality infrastructures and implementation for automated data quality processes and infrastructure.
- Expertise in data modeling for both structured and unstructured data.
- Expertise with all aspects of data management: data governance, data mastering, meta-data management, data taxonomies and ontologies.
- Fluent understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
- Ability to translate business requirements into conceptual and detailed technology solutions.
- Ability to perform third-party vendor assessments.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to establish and manage effective working relationships in a matrixed organizational structure.
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills, both oral and written. Ability to communicate well to both technical and business audiences.
