As the Senior Analyst, Procurement you will work closely with various stakeholders, including supply chain managers, finance teams, and operations personnel, to provide valuable insights and recommendations related to fuel consumption, procurement and sustainability. What you'll do on a typical day:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to fuel consumption, costs, and trends.
• Develop and prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to relevant stakeholders.
• Build comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) for implementing and optimizing fuel management software.
• Leverage data analysis and employ continuous improvement methods to drive efficiencies, cost savings, and overall process improvement.
• Learn and navigate the intricacies of the current fuel management software and contribute to its enhancement and optimization.
• Assist with conducting carrier RFQs, analyzing rates and remaining compliant with the overall sourcing strategy
• Learn and become proficient in all related areas, including assisting with conducting RFQs, operating the rate database, managing and maintaining rate schedules/addendums, and assisting with onboarding new carriers
• Monitor market trends and global events that may impact fuel prices and supply.
• Interact with senior procurement management, account management, customer associates and carriers
• Implement strategies to mitigate the impact of fuel price fluctuations on the organization.
• Collaborate with environmental and sustainability teams to develop and implement fuel-related sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor and control fuel budgets, providing financial forecasts and cost projections.
• Utilize analytical tools and software to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-saving measures.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 2 years of transportation or logistics experience
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software and proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the transportation industry

• Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• High-level understanding of energy markets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong customer-facing skills

It'd be great if you also have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, IT, Data Science, Economics, Engineering or equivalent related work or military experience
• Solid understanding of transportation modes, transit times and transportation operations
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with intermediate knowledge of Access and advanced experience in Excel
• Data visualization experience (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, etc.)
• Machine Learning/AI experience
• Programming skills (Python, R, SQL, Java, etc.)
• Master's Degree
• Additional Certifications (Certified Analytics Professional, Azure Data Scientist Associate, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, etc.)

Employees are paid within a salary range based on their experience, skill set, and market.
Colorado annual salary range: $74,792 to $93,490
New York annual salary range: $78,354 to $97,942 California annual salary range: $81,915 to $102,394
Washington State annual salary range: $78,354 to $97,942
Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set (e.g., if an applicant far exceeds the minimum and preferred qualifications for the role).
