Sunset Studios is seeking a Senior Analyst, Corporate Development, to support our global Sunset Studios and Quixote production services portfolio. You will be responsible for performing financial analysis to evaluate and drive forward key strategic and Corporate Development initiatives, including M&A, strategic partnerships, and performance optimization of our current businesses. This role combines traditional Corporate Development, real estate private equity, and asset management, requiring a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with robust financial analysis and valuation experience. This role will be entrusted with significant responsibility for company-critical initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Planning and Analysis: Help identify, assess, and prioritize strategic initiatives to drive the growth of our studio segment, partnering closely with various internal stakeholders and JV partners.
- M&A and Development:
- Support the studio segment's M&A initiatives by screening acquisition opportunities, creating financial models to value potential targets, and supporting due diligence efforts for new acquisitions.
- Provide ad hoc analyses and support to ensure rigorous thinking behind studio acquisitions and development projects.
- Operational Decision Support: Execute strategic and financial analysis supporting our various operating businesses, including developing and tracking key performance metrics and market research.
- Other Ad Hoc Projects: Develop presentation materials for internal executives, JV partners, board meetings, off-site and external conferences.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-4 years of experience in Finance, Private Equity, Strategy, Management Consulting, or Business Development.
- Highly analytical mindset with experience in financial and strategic analysis corporate valuation modeling.
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter who is a curious and quick learner who can dive into any area of the business and get up to speed quickly; strong intellectual curiosity and ability to problem solve.
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills. You write well, understand the power of storytelling, have a great follow-up, and can parse through the numbers to uncover the story within.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize in the face of many competing priorities.
- A trustworthy individual who is used to handling confidential information with a high degree of integrity.
