Redeux Energy is seeking a Senior Analyst, Corporate Development for our growing utility scale solar and storage development company in the United States.?
Redeux's Corporate Development team leads sell-side and buy-side transactions and is responsible for developing partnerships with counterparties, including long term asset owners and developers. The team engages and coordinates with investment banks and consultants, as needed, to help negotiate and structure transactions that maximize value for Redeux. Corporate Development influences business strategy and develops presentations for leadership and counterparties in collaboration with subject matter experts within the company.
In this role you'll support the origination, evaluation and execution of both project sale and acquisition opportunities - conducting financial analysis and operational diligence. The ideal candidate will understand or have the acumen to learn the key fundamentals of energy and financial markets, real estate, project development, project engineering, and legal issues that impact the value of energy projects. Our ideal candidate will have experience with buy- and/or sell-side asset level or project transactions including conducting financial analysis, operational diligence, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Position Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst, Corporate Development will report to the VP, Corporate Development, in close coordination with the Director, Corporate Development.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:??
Run project management for sell-side and buy-side activity to ensure critical tasks are completed on schedule and management is informed of project status and risks;
Build financial modeling of Redeux project portfolio sales and third-party project acquisition opportunities;
Ability to work collaboratively and thoughtfully with cross-functional teams and cross-cultural partners.
In collaboration with the development, land, engineering and finance teams evaluate transactions and validate the economics of potential partnership and acquisition opportunities in various energy markets or regions.
Feed and maintain the Corporate Development CRM, to provide leadership with visibility on transactions, market intelligence, buyers' activities, and developers' activities;
Prepare materials to assist investment decisions;
Develop presentations covering market and investment research on buy-side and sell-side deal pricing trends across various energy markets and renewable energy technologies.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will be a Corporate Development analyst who has a track record of M&A transaction support. The ideal candidate must have strong financial acumen and must be highly organized, tactical, enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, a problem-solver and a team player.
Key qualifications are as follows:?
1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking or equivalent corporate experience in M&A advisory and transaction support as evidenced by proficiency in modeling and evaluating financial projections as part of due diligence processes.
Bachelor"s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or quantitative field required or equivalent combination of work experience.
Ability to establish, maintain, and manage data rooms of buy-side counterparties or for sell-side processes.
Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively bridge results into conclusions and recommendations to the leadership team.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills also must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and diligent.
Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced business environment while managing competing deadlines.
Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Word environments.
Strong interest in renewable energy industry is preferred, and renewable energy transaction experience preferred, but not required.
Compensation?and Culture
This position is a Full-Time, onsite position located at Redeux's downtown Denver headquarters.
Base compensation up to $90,000 - $120,000.
Performance-based, annual bonus opportunity.
