- This job is a member of the Integrated Operations Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
- Responsible for performing analysis of audit and operational data to identify potential discrepancies with maintenance and inspection programs, performs risk and root cause analysis, interfaces with Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the identification of the root cause of system deficiencies in maintenance and inspection programs, and evaluates current processes and procedures for effectiveness. This job is also responsible for preparing reports related to safety for upper and senior management.
What you'll do
- Analyzes processes and procedures that are prone to create human error, and conduct reviews to ensure that systems operate as expected
- Conducts analysis of operational data obtained through quality audits, investigations, and Safety reviews to provide mitigation recommendations to management
- Creates and edits reports and analysis intended to highlight and resolve safety related issues throughout the corporation
- Determines root cause of system deficiencies of Maintenance and Inspection programs by interfacing with the operational, audit, and reliability departments
- Identifies and prioritizes system audits using risk assessment methods
- Reviews analysis results to determine risk associated with maintenance and inspection programs
- Conducts follow-up analysis to ensure compliance with and tests the effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, or aviation related field or equivalent experience in air carrier maintenance, quality assurance or airline operations
- Experience in metrics and data analysis

- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) processes

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations, AA maintenance and operations programs, Company policies and Safety procedures
- Excellent analytical skills
