Position Summary:
The Office of Technology Management is searching for a Senior Administrative Coordinator who will provide varied business and financial departmental support. This position will primarily handle accounts payable/receivable, various financial and statistical departmental reports, account reconciliation, travel, and procurement of goods/office supplies. This administrator will also assist with data entry into a departmental database. The focus will be working with our Oracle-based Financial Management System and Coupa. Applicants who know UTHealth's FMS and Coupa already or those with knowledge of a similar FMS are equally encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time role that is classified as salaried and is exempt. It is eligible for all UTHealth benefits, including healthcare coverage and participation in a pension plan run by the State of Texas. The work location is in the heart of the Texas Medical Center in our University Center Tower located at Fannin and Pressler. This department usually prefers to work on-site Monday through Thursday and then do a remote day on Fridays.

Position Key Accountabilities:
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Plans and coordinates major business management functions and administrative support services.
2. Regularly handles confidential information and sensitive issues.
3. Performs data analysis in report preparation, ensuring data accuracy.
4. Handles inquiries and collects and processes paperwork regarding the departmental database, record keeping, and report compilation.
5. Accounts payable/receivable for patent legal fee billing, reimbursement, and royalty distribution.
6. Will procure goods, services, travel arrangements, and expense reimbursements.
7. Maintains and reconciles financial and statistical reports/records from departmental databases.
8. Compiles, analyzes, and interprets data from departmental database.
9. Perform special projects with clearly defined assignments and specific procedures.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Advanced working knowledge of standard Office Software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
Advanced working knowledge of University financial systems is preferred.
Minimum Education:
A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required. An equivalent education and/or experience level may substitute for the education requirement.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years related work experience required.
Prior experience in finance, accounting, business administration, or business management is required.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
