Key Functions:
- Financial statement preparation and variance analysis
- Fixed asset tracking and recording depreciation
- Assist with annual budget process
- Generate and process journal entries
- Monthly account reconciliations
- Work with finance team to collect receivables; apply cash receipts and reconcile cash daily
- Collaborate with accounting personnel to review customer invoices
- Assist Controller with monthly revenue cutoff and financial reporting
- Support the AR and AP processes
- Assist with implementing technology to create efficiencies
- Support payroll and employee benefits processing, as needed
- Other ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting and/or Finance
- Substantial experience in accounting and finance (8+ years)
- Experience in logistics, infrastructure, and transportation (preferred, not required)
- Ability to learn new systems and technology
- Self-motivated and adaptive
- Must thrive with being managed remotely and communicating via telephone and video conferencing
- Majority of time will be spent on site, with some remote work expected
- Occasional travel to terminal sites may be required (est. quarterly basis)
- 40-hour work week, with some overtime expected as needed
